the KTM Komuter fare increase will be implemented soon – a new fare structure has just been announced with changes to come into effect next month, December 2. The new structure will see a maximum increase of up to RM7.10 per trip, affecting both the Tanjung Malim-Sungai Gadut and Batu Caves-Port Klang line.

“The new fare structure will cover operating and maintenance costs that have been on the rise every year,” commented KTM Bhd (KTMB) president, Lt Col (Rtd) Sarbini Tijan. “The purchase of spare parts has become increasingly expensive with the drop of the ringgit, not to mention KTMB had also been subject to commercial rates of the electricity tariff over the years,” he added.

In my opinion, this increase will effect all the users of KTM transportation user. This increase was not suitable with the price that have been charge and the service they give to users.they need to improve all the facilities and the service they provide to cutomers of KTMB . this increase must relevant with the charge they increase.
